Hey all, I have a question from my canvas guy. He is making a dodger for my CS27. The Jib winches are quite forward. There are spaces on my boat for two more winches aft of these two. The spaces look like they were made for winches. I would like to move the two Port and Starboard winches to these aft spaces. He said he could make a much better dodger if I do. I found a CS27 picture on the Genco site and the dodger they show is on a CS27 with aft winches. Has anyone moved winches like this on this group, If so any advice? Thanks in advance for any help.

Martin, The angle of your sheets leading to the winches would be all wrong. Those are indeed secondary wich positions, but the are for a spinnaker, which would require a block as far aft as you can go on the toerail, with the sheet led fwd to the winch. I have a nice dodger and it noway inteferes with the winches. The mainsheet is another issue though. On a run it does lean on the dodger some.
