Ok, this is an embarassing question to ask, but I just bought a 1986 CS30 and am starting to get a sense of everything, but the one thing I haven't been able to figure out is how to drain the cooler. Can someone explain how that works?
There's no plug or stopper in the drain hole, it doesn't open or close, and the whole cooler is enclosed such that I can't see any hoses or pipes leading to or from it. One day I added water to see if it drained, it didn't, so I figured the previous owner broke something or it was plugged. Only a few days later the water was gone. Something I did had drained it, but after some experimentation I still can't figure out what.
Or possibly it really is plugged and just slowly dripped out over time, but if that's the case I don't think it went to the bilge. So here's another question...just where did the water go?
Thanks in advance for any explanation of how this system works.

Zar.
The cooler drains into the bilge where the hand pump pickup is. Second section from the engine. Look behind the galley from the port settee opening. Factory standard is a black heater hose.
It's most likely clogged by dirt. You can clear it by compress air or garden hose.

Yup, seems like my drain line is blocked. I was about to fix it but then thought it would be a bad idea to drain this stuff to my bilge, stinking it up and dirtying it. So I'm on the lookout for a stopper before clear the blockage. Thank you Alex for showing me where to look.
