Some of us have installed a 2 or 4 kw Radar on the mast, located a couple of feet above the steaming and deck light. The cable is provided is continuous and goes from the back of the radome, down the inside of the mast through the side of the mast into the cabin ( keel stepped mast). The cable then has toi be led to the back of the Raymarine display. This involves running the cable along the starboard side of the cabin, behind the water tank, through the interior liner and into the starboard cupboard, and then behind the radio to the C-80 display. To remove the mast, which I do every couple of years, you have to reverse the process. Obviously a disconnect point for the radar cable would be preferred. Has anybody done it? There are about 12 different wires, including 4 power conductors. Any special precautions taken?? Thanks Ric 4693 XARI
