Under Maintenance- I have to deal with leaking Lewmar opening Ports in My CS 34. With all of the rain this season, I've discovered water ingress from several sources. Rebedding work has resolved some of the problems but the Lewmar Ports are 20 years old and the rubber gaskets look worn. If the gaskets can be replaced great-otherwise I am looking at replacing several opening ports. Any ideas?

One common problem is "rebedding", but not noticing that the original sealant included silicone. That would result in a need to wet-sand to eliminate the contaminant. Nothing binds to silicone, so that can get you even when you think you're re-bedded.
Holland Marine has some replacement gaskets for hatches (at least they did last time I looked in their CS section). There are some on-line business that will recondition hatches with new plexi and seals. Select plastics may be able to do the work.
Finally, have you tried contacting Lewmar to see if they can sell you replacement gaskets?

My "Rebedding" projects concerned the jumper stay padeye on the deck and that leak is resolved. Thanks for the ideas on the gaskets. I'll contact Holland Marine. Lewmars' website has been hit or miss for me in the past but I'll give it a try again. Thanks
